Will we lose a timeshare in ch 7?

we are paying for, do not own, a timeshare. We would want to keep it, so would we have to sell it in a ch 7 even if we still owe on it?

how about in a ch 13? anyone know?

What state are you in? Do you have a wildcard exemption there?

We are in AZ and I don't know what the "wild card" is?
I will have to search the internet to see.

Just curious, how nice is it?, what city? What was the purchase price? Did you buy it in the primary market or secondary market? How much equity in it?

Might be sad if we lose this asset.

We inherited a floating two week timeshare in Cabo San Lucas Mexico that was $27,000 new. The pool is one of those infinity pools that are extremely desireable from what I have heard. We love the place especially the water bar that you swim up too and being in the pool at sunset is unbelivable, looks like your swiming in the ocean if your head is real low in the pool. Have no idea what the thing is worth it is a 50 year lease timeshare, 14 years have been consumed and association dues capped at $550 a year.

I wonder if the trustee will try to sell this??

That's exactly where my parents stayed at a timeshare two years ago.

You need to host your pictures to another site, like www.photobucket.com and then use the code they give you.

Yes, you are attaching them, not displaying them. Load them to photobucket and use the html code it gives you.

I knew I had read something on time shares and finally found it.

This was from a trustee manual on filling out forms:

Timeshare interests should be listed on Schedule G unless deeded interest is owned, in which case list on Schedule A (real property). If unsure if deeded, list on both schedules.
