I just tried to check on mine and it said that I made a mistake, was reading on the opening page of where you check on rebate check and it said that it wouldn't work until your rebate check was scheduled to be processed. Not sure but hopefully

gymbo: they are keeping your rebate?? it says in your information at the bottom that you filed bankruptcy 4/25/08 and taht you had a conference call on 5/1/07...

if you just filed perhaps that's why they are keeping it , do you owe back taxes and is it in your plan?

that's a shame. of course i don't know if i can keep mine yet or not, no one returns my call and i'm getting it tommorrow, I guess I will just put it into savings and wait.

Ok I just used the "Where's my refund" to "Where's my Stimulus" and it worked ok for me. I'm posting what it should look like to show that it does actully work I had to do it a couple of time because I had the wrong amount of exemptions the first 2 times. I tried third time was a charm LOL theres no personal info here just basic stuff.

Your total Stimulus payment was calculated as $1,130.58 and consists of the following:

    Basic Amount: $830.58.
Qualifying Child Amount: $300.00 (Based on 1 qualifying children).
Your payment of $1,130.58 is scheduled to be deposited to your bank on May 2, 2008. If you do not receive the credit by May 7, 2008, check with your bank to find out if it has been received. Please wait until May 7, 2008 before you contact us again because we are unable to take any action until then.

Your Stimulus payment was reduced based on your 2007 qualifying income, or it was limited to the amount of your 2007 Net Income Tax Liability.

I read on another board that it has to be scheduled to disburse before it will show-up. So, I guess because we filed our taxes in April, that will still have a while to wait before we see ours. Seemed to take no time at all though for them to cash our check for taxes owed!

I guess you didn't read the whole thread. I said in an earlier post, that I FILED my taxes in February, but I haven't filed BK yet.

You have to have filed your 2007 return to be eligible for the stimulus payment.

I just tried again, says I made a mistake, which I know I didn't. I know my DH ss# better then my own, I know our exemptions, I even got out our taxes to double check myself. I was correct. So, I am not going to worry about this. I am sure we will get it, we got a refund on our taxes, do we do not owe any back taxes, we haven't filed yet so no trustee is getting ours, so I blame the IRS website, and since it's a government agency, it seems a mistake on their part is much more likely then a mistake on my part!

NO, I believe Cali ment Chap13 filing & not 2007 taxes(which was filed Feb per other post).

It just does not work for some folks - I suspect buggy code.

no, it means that it's not in the system yet because you filed your taxes late. of course you filed by the due date but it's still not in the system yet. I think it means you get it later

I checked on ours and I got this message "In order to qualify for the stimulus payment, you must have filed your 2007 tax return more than 6 weeks ago."

We filed 11 Apr 08. Does this mean we don't "qualify"?

Okay, that blows my theory! I can guarantee we'll get it when we get it, though! And hopefully that is SOON!!!
