    Question College fee questions

Hoping someone could help me... I had a $500 balance I owed to a college I had withdrawn from. I just wanted to clarify it is not a student loan, it is just an unapdi balance to the college. I included this balance in my bankruptcy, however now I need a copy of my transcript from this college because I am applying to another school.

They previously would not give me my transcript since I had a hold on my account tsince I had this balance, but since I am including this in my bankruptcy is the hold automatically removed? If anyone has gone through something similar or would know how this works I'd really appreciate if you could give me some idea as to when I could get a copy of my transcript. Thanks

Mosts colleges/high schools have a policy in place that if a balance is owing, items not returned that are owned by the school that are in your possession, etc., etc. that they can withhold report cards, transcripts, etc. If you have already filed, have your attorney write them a letter to obtain the transcript explaining why it is needed and that you have filed for bankruptcy protection and the amount due is included in the bankruptcy. That may work.
