what's the deal with florida and dentist...do they think because so many people retire here they have false teeth or something.Originally posted by Freddy03 View PostOh that stinks! Sorry can't help you with a dentist b/c I'm having a hard time finding a good one down here myself.
i had one dentist...no lie, here in floria put a piece of TIN FOIL as a temp on my tooth. are you kidding me or what?? LOL...what a mess.
i did go into the office and i think these ones are ok...at least they have private settings and it's not a mill. i never saw a dentist or doctor mill until we moved here.8/4/2008

Publix is a great store but with high prices. I get my produce and meats from Publix but things like shampoos, laundry soap I get at Walmart or Winn Dixie.Originally posted by IamOld View PostPublix always seemed like a good store and good prices!!!

certainly not here. all food costs are far more expensive than that of the northeast area, but less than the San Fran bay area.Originally posted by IamOld View Post:-) We just went to Publics because it was right around the corner from where we usually were in Orlando... was CHEAPER than back home!
example...avacado's last year here were like 68 cents now they are 1.99...in Calif. they are still 68-9 cents...roma tomatoes here in florida are 2.99 a pound, in Calif. 99 cents in the northeast maybe the most was 1.99. so we have found in general all food costs here in florida are more expensive.8/4/2008

here's a better on...two walmarts on rt 27 one has mangos for 99 cents.....the other for 33 cents...what's that about????? we have to go to twenty stores just to get cheaper food and make trips once a month and hit as many in whatever direction. crazy.Originally posted by IamOld View PostThat's amazing...maybe the forum's powers to be could set up a price comparison...thing...I think tomatoes here vary a lot from week to week depending on local supply...avocados here are like $2 for 2 or some such thing.8/4/2008
