Caloric removal fluid - haha!!! We'll we have plenty of that here today!

Well, last year when we were in FL it was during the heat wave when on our first day in Orlando it was 110F. But it's grown on me...aside from politics, I could deal with FL, and frankly I miss it already :-) I love beaches, and I'll miss that most of all. Hmmm. first time in TEN years that we don't do this...sad really. Timeshares are being surrendered in BK - ALTHOUGH both of them were already in the process of being accepted back by hotel co in deed in lieu as paid in full. No claims from them thus far. IF IF IF all goes well (haha haha haha) we should be able to do our little week next year, and so forth. Funny, after i lost my job last year, I almost canceled our vacation BUT I still had severance, and spouse said that we needed to do this for the kids. Glad we did. VERY VERY glad.

      Fingers crossed for next year!!!

So you know I'll add to most amazing thing - the fact that for one week, the kids and I and yes spouse were all actually in one place, together doing things. For one week, just us, nothing else.

I sure am missing winter vaca in FL too. A week there in February is what got me thru the NJ winters. Maybe next year?

i really dislike the heat, even in nj...i was up at 4 am and done working by 1 so i didn't have to deal with it.

i must admit, i'm having a really hard time adjusting to this weather, however, i suppose it's better than slipping on the ice?

Tobee I don't like heat too - so I suppose I may have FL associated in my mind with the family vacation, beaches, and fun :-) Could I live there w/out A/C - dear God never.

before we liked here we lived in a ski area, and also many lakes, so we always got a ton of people vacationing in the area both winter and summers. however, at least there was SPRING and FALL....even in calif., we had a reminder of those seasons although slight. here we go from 30 degrees to 95 in a week...LOL!!! i hear or so i have heard this weather patterned is extremely unusual, but that's all i have heard in the three or more years we have been here. no rain, below freezing temps, record highs, record lows, record this or that.

so, i don't know if it's just the climatic changes taking place, but frankly, i don't know of any place this is actually "perfect", weather wise anywhere now a days.

True - no place is perfect - but the freezing in the winter and the record highs AND NO RAIN!!! that's not what used to be "normal." In Central FL around 2-4Pm there would ALWAYS be T-Storms in the "rainy" season May/June through early Fall... You could set your watch by it!
