I have learned what you have learned as well as everyday is a gift of God. What we do with it is our gift to Him. 'Hub

P.S. Happiness is a state of mind. You choose it everyday you wake. Choose it whatever the day holds.

        Merry Christmas to all

I am thankful for another year of having my family surround me. Never take for granted one moment....because in that moment, another memory is made that can never be taken from you. Choose your words carefully and with thought - harsh words once spoken cannot be taken back, so speak kindly and say I love you every chance you have

I have learned that going to see our kids and their presence for Christmas are the best presents we can get this and every year.

We took some extra money I put away and bought 50lbs of dog and cat food and brought them down to the Animal Shelter.

Bought an outfit for a child from the Angel Tree, and a couple of toys for tots.

Have a Blessed and Merry Christmas everyone. sammie

.................................................. ................... This year has had its ups and downs.

.................................................. ....... I remember the ups and have forgotten the downs.

I was attempting to remain 'well' until a potential renter brought in a PITBull dog tonight for a trial stay-over, around 7PM. Until then we were fine.

We cannot have nor do we want pitbulls here, due to many factors, including our Life Estate agreement, and the insurance.

I was able to help a single mom provide presents for her children. They did a 45-minute video conference call with me earlier and I can tell that they were very happy. I did not receive a single present from any person. However, I'm the happiest person on earth because I was able to give to someone who needed to know that people cared, more than I needed something new.

It is my hope that my Christmas post finds you all well, in the company of friends and family, and enjoying the rest of the night and year.

We have another couple that we are attempting to help, and took them around last night looking at the Christmas lights.

Today, we cooked all day and have made parcels for them, and we have sent those out, and will be taking more out tomorrow. And that is usually what we do for Christmas.

Christmas though not so many gifts under the tree like years past was one of the best. It was the joy of having all the family home under one roof. The best part was watching my granddaughters face when she saw the note "Santa" left thanking her for the cookies and milk and goodie for the reindeer it was priceless.

We are hoping next year to find a family to help out as we can, not just for Christmas but for the whole year long.

I learned that I didn't have to go overboard with Christmas presents and Christmas would be just as good if not better since I didn't pay for it with more credit cards.
