In Calif. I paid $1,000 down ($3375 total payments). Plus $274 filing fee.

In Southern PA I will be paying 3900. 1200 and a 400 filing fee, rest will be in plan.

Costs have increased since the new law went into effect on 10/05 due to increased work and paperwork involved. We paid $1800 in 2002 ($1200 at retention and $600 in Plan). And that was for one of the top attorneys in our area that handled BK and worth every penney which we thought was so high at that time.
