    Tools of Trade - Furniture

I am a sole proprietor for a publishing business... the only 5 things I ABSOLUTELY need to operate my business are my two computers and the graphics software, my desk/chair, phone and vehicle.... when i'm not out selling advertising, I'm at my home office doing sales over the phone or doing the graphics design/layout on the computer... can my desk/chair be included in the exemptions under tools of the trade as I need them to run my business... those are the only things i'm worried about as both the desk and chair are together worth about $2000 and would send my household items over the exemption limit.

Did your business purchase these items and you have a receipt showing that or did you personally purchase these items and put them in your home office? There is your answer.

If you think a desk and chair are worth $2000, you need to go to a few garage sales and compare prices.
