Got a 2014 Toyota Camry LE with 6miles on it. I put $1000 down as my down payment and my payments are in the low $400's but i will not complain because i got the Toyota Total care package and my oil change and maintenance is of no cost to me for 5years.. God is GOOD!!! Single Mom with 2 kids and having a reliable car now feels good..

We originally applied for capital one blank check and approved for 3.4% for new or 3.94% for 2012 and increased from there for older cars. We needed a second car and found a great deal on a certified 2012 Jetta S with 28k miles. When they saw the blank check, they said they thought they could beat it, and were able to get VW credit at 3.44% for 72 months. We financed the car for 72 months with $0 down, and a payment of $198/month.

    Date Applied For: 9/20/13
Approval Amount: $14,000 for private seller / $28,000 for dealer
Interest Rate: 11.49% for private seller / 16% for dealer
    Term: 60 mo

Vehicle Requirements: 2001 or newer with less than 98k miles
    Mileage Terms:
    0-60K = 72 Months
    60K-70K= 60 Months
    70k-90K= 48 Months
    90K-98K = 36 Months

I'm going to try to use $9,000 for a car with a private seller. The process can take 10-14 days, so I don't know if the seller will be willing to deal with us or not.

Applied for Capital one and asked for 19,500 and were approved for 23,400 at 2.94% for 72 months. We plan to buy a new 2013 Honda Civic EX and negociated the price to 19,500 and will end up borrowing 20,000 including tax (its capped at 300 in SC). Our payment will be $305 per month. We don't have any down payment or trade (giving our old Honda to our son).We don't plan on trying to get financed with Honda, I don't think they will beat that rate (their 0% is only for 36 months). Our household income is 72,000/year.

Pink this is exactly what I did in October 3 months post-BK7 - got a 1500 rebate from them too for the '13 Corolla S on 36 month lease.

3 months after discharge, was approved by wells fargo at 8.49% for 60 months. Didn't think I'd get financing at all and was super happy with the rate.

    Great news here:
    1. Capital One approved me for $21,000 at 5.26 interest.

    2. My local credit union then approved me for $21,000 at 7.99 interest.

    3. Applied for Honda, got rejected.

    4. Then just this week, Toyota approved me for 0 percent over 5 years. I'll probably use $15,000.

It might have helped that I own a Toyota now--I don't know, but I was shocked that I got the advertised 0 percent.

    Good luck!

    Date Discharged: 7-24-2012 BK7
    Lender: Toyota Financial Services
    Date Applied For: 10-31-2012
    Approval Amount: $30.000.00
Interest Rate: 0% for 60 mo New, 0.9% for 60 mo CPO, 0.0008 MF Lease
    Term: 36 months
    Credit Score - Transunion 650

Chose to lease @ MF 0.0008 for 36 months, got 1500 customer cash from Toyota, they made the first payment and my payment is $236 a month including all taxes and GAP. 650 was their requirement for hitting Tier 3, Toyota has been giving Tier 1-3 the same rates if you read the fine print. Underwriter called my cell while I was waiting to verify I had applied since I had a FA on all 3 at the time, didn't even flinch once I told her it was me, asked nothing about the recent BK (neither did the dealer) or anything for that matter - it was a 30 second call after she said, if you left the dealer you can go back and get your car. I was shocked after only being discharged for 3 months and not being a former Toyota customer, I went there with this approval below intending to use this:

    Lender: Apple Federal CU
    Date Applied For: 10-31-2012
    Approval Amount: up to $25,000
    Interest Rate: 10.75%
    Term: up to 72 months
    Credit Score - Transunion 600

I was happy I had got this rate when they told me my score was 600 3 months out of BK7 thinking I would just refi after 6 months

Great info! It would be more helpful if you posted what you bought new/used as some people have and also if it was through a dealer or private party. I'm finding that makes a HUGE difference.

    Thanks!
