    Another one bites the dust!!!

    Hello everyone
I hope that everyone's doing ok!!! After being hospitalized for one month due to a heart attack and diabetic coma. i have decided to file i chapter 7 BK to wipe out my medical debt and credit card debt. i never for the life of me thought that i would be in this situation then again who in the hell does!!! I also feel it's the responsible adult thing to do vs trying to pay off debt that i'll never get out of!!!

Welcome to BKForum. Just make sure that all of heavy-financial medical needs are all done before you file. You want to make sure you capture everything related to the heart attack and coma. Remember that a Chapter 7 is the nuclear option and you can only do that once every 8 years.
    Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10

I am not your attorney. Any advice provided is not legal advice, but simply the musings of a fellow bankrupt.

Timing is critical. If you need more treatment after you file then you are screwed. I waited 8 years to file for client after she died. Husband on hook for about 50K after she first came in. Poor thing. She would come in stressed and ashamed. She was judgment proof. He was not. Takes wayyyyyy too much time to properly represent clients in bankruptcy. It’s a fool’s game. I finally escaped 2 years ago. Game changed with greedy trustees and new DEI dumb judges. From a small town and was impossible to specialize. Finally realized a shortage of experienced criminal defense attorneys. More money and less stress. I would rather try a child molesting case than file one more bankruptcy. My bankruptcy clients were treated worse than any meth head, batterer or even murderer. It was pathetic. I encourage any young attorney to supplement his income working the graveyard shift at Taco Bell rather than subject yourself to this torture. A special thanks to Bush for the 2005 “reforms.”
